Hey everyone, welcome to today's Five Minute Leader. Today, I want to talk about the difference between inputs and outputs.
I recently started working with a new virtual assistant. I've had them over the years—some good experiences, some bad—but over the past few months, I started working with someone new. At the end of every day, she sends me a report detailing how many emails she sent and a list of some of the tasks she completed.
She helps me with things like securing podcast guests, following up on emails from people who want to join my CHRO community, and other similar tasks. Over time, I started noticing a pattern. Her reports were heavily focused on how many emails she sent out. But then I realized—I wasn’t necessarily getting more podcast guests. I wasn’t getting more CHRO book interviews.
