Hey everyone, welcome to another five-minute leader. I have this giant microphone in front of me, so hopefully, everyone will be able to hear me much better and crystal clear. Today's video is about the difference between energy and time. Over the past few weeks and months, I've had a few conversations with various business leaders, mostly CEOs and a couple of CHROs, as I'm working on a new employee experience book, and the conversation of energy and time has come up quite a bit.
And one of the things that I have found very interesting is that there are a lot of leaders who oftentimes will spend a lot of time on something, yet they are filled with energy. And then on the flip side of that, there are also a lot of leaders who might spend a little bit of time on something, and they are completely depleted with energy. And the really interesting thing here is that oftentimes, as leaders, it's very tempting to focus on how much time we might spend on a particular project, how much time we might spend on a particular task, but I think the real metric that we should be focusing on is the energy that you have.
