Hey, everyone, welcome to another Five Minute Leader. Today, I want to share a leadership lesson from this book that I just finished reading called The Master and Margarita. It is a Russian book. I read the English translation, even though I do speak Russian, but it probably would have been a little more complicated.
The book was written between 1928 and 1940 in the Soviet Union, but as a result of censorship in the Soviet Union, it wasn't actually published until the author died. It was published in 1966–1967. The particular story that I wanted to share comes from one of the early pages in the book. Now, if you haven't read the book, it's a pretty crazy story. I won't go into all the details, but there's a lot of weird stuff that happens and crazy characters in there. Just after I explain this one story, you'll kind of get a sense of the direction of the book.
