Hello everyone. Welcome to another five-minute leader. So the other day, I was walking with my kids in our community. I have to take the dogs for a walk. Kids needed some exercise, so I took my four-year-old son, Noah, and my eight-year-old daughter, Naomi, for a walk. They don’t want to walk. They want to stay in the house. They want to play with Legos. They want to play with their toys. They don’t want to go outside. It’s cold. They’ve got to get dressed.
Long story short, I forced them to go outside. We start walking. They’re whining, they’re crying, they’re bickering. They do not want to be on this walk. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying myself. It’s beautiful outside, around 70 degrees, nature, trees. I’m having a great time, and the kids continue to just whine and complain. And finally, I said, “Look, the more you whine, the farther we’re gonna walk. The longer you complain, the longer we’re gonna walk.”
