Hello everyone. Welcome to a five-minute leader. My goodness, it has been a hell of a 2025 so far. We got evacuated because of the fires, so we had to be out of the house for almost a week. I got very sick. My wife got very sick. We've just been getting beaten down left and right. So I've been behind on videos, on content, on books, on pretty much everything and anything that I need to be doing. I'm now finally catching up and wanting to put some of these videos together.

Today I wanted to talk about something personal that I think transcends into the business world. This year, one of the things that my family and I started doing is we started putting together family goals. I won't go through what all the family goals are, but I have this piece of paper here that I've been writing down, just goals for me. My wife has one, my daughter has one, and my younger son, Noah, has one.

Some of the goals for me, for example, are to focus on kindness and to be more disciplined in certain areas of my life. We have family goals like having more movie nights and taking more fun trips together. The really interesting thing about this, and one of the things that I've noticed that's been very, I think, interesting and fascinating, is that my family and I, we've gone over these goals. I have a paper like this from my daughter that's in her room. My wife has one that's sitting on her desk.
